The Central Artist Residency provides invited artists with the time, space and studio facilities to focus on developing new work. Artists stay for 7–10 days at no cost and are encouraged to engage with the creative community of Tamborine Mountain.

The residency is supported through the generosity of individuals who believe that artists and creative practice are an important part of our cultural life. Every donation, regardless of its size, helps cover accommodation, studio facilities, maintenance and the day-to-day costs of running the residency.

At the conclusion of their stay, resident artists are invited—if they wish—to contribute an artwork to the residency collection. Over time this growing collection will become a lasting record of the artists who have been part of the residency and the ideas developed here.
